After playing two decades in hardcore and punk bands, the idea of Necro Weasel was born in Tampere, Finland, in the autumn of 2020. The goal was to mix hardcore and old-school thrash metal with lyrics about the politics and problems of mental health without low-tuned guitars and sterile production.

With the corona restrictions, there was more free time and that time was spent practicing recording, writing moshable riffs and learning how to scream without losing voice after session.

A desire to evolve and learn as a musician, song writer and studio technician drives Necro Weasel forward.

On this path, the Necro Weasel is still on, although the mastering of recent releases has been outsourced to the knowledgeable hands of Frans Hipponen.
