Kazea

KAZEA is a heavy, genre-defying trio from Gothenburg forging dark, immersive songs from the friction between the personal and the political. Drawing from the vast atmospheres of post-rock, the haunted tones of neofolk, and the crushing weight of sludge, their music moves between quiet tension and overwhelming force. Their debut album I. Ancestral introduced a sound both intimate and immense, earning strong acclaim and finding its full expression in the band’s stark, stripped-down live performances. On stage, KAZEA’s performances become slow-burning rituals where silence, tension, and weight converge. With their upcoming second album, II. Riven, KAZEA turns toward the concept of fragmentarisation—exploring the fractures that run through communities, identities, and the self. Both albums were recorded and mixed by Ulf Blomberg and feature guest performances by Gina Wiklund and Oskar Tornborg.
